Core Loop

The fundamental repeated sequence of actions that defines the primary experience of an app or game. Mechanics work best when they reinforce the core loop rather than sitting alongside it. A fitness app's core loop is completing a workout, mechanics should reward and sustain that behaviour, not replace it.
